Nick Sagnibene of 716 Fly Fishing

Owner / Guide

A Buffalo New York Native, Nick grew up around the water from day one. Fishing the opening day trout season with his father and friends was a tradition that still stands today. What was putting a worm on a hook, has now turned into tying flies to fool weary trout and other species. Nick has been guiding the “716” for years and takes passion in the diversity of the fishery. As a year round fly fishing guide, he provides you with expertise of all species to target 12 months a year. Whether guiding the Lake Erie and Ontario steelhead runs throughout the winter, musky fishing the lakes and rivers of the Southern Tier, drift boat trips for the great trout fishing and hatches of the Allegheny mountains or the local waters surround the greater Buffalo area. Countless hours have been spent on the waters fine tuning the fisheries to make your trip successful and enjoyable.

Nick has traveled to destinations like Patagonia, Florida, Mexico, the greater Yellowstone States, East Coast and Canada to continue the passion and understand. Diversity is the name of the game, 12 months a year Nick and his guides will find you the right fishery. Diversity : From Steelhead to Musky to Carp or lake run Bass, wade fishing or a float trip.

Nick started his professional guiding career in the small ski town of Ellicottville, 45 minutes south of Buffalo in the Southern Tier at Adventure Bound on the fly. Being focused through the entire region and understanding the multi species, year around opportunity, Nick has recently made it back to his home town, West Seneca, to partner with a few friends & help create a place for anglers. This establishment is multi purpose ; Fly fishing, Gear fishing, Retail, Guide Service and Barbershop!
